If you plan on going to travel to the Caribbean, why not do it in style? For this adventure I jointed the "Carnival Destiny" cruise which started from Miami and cruised all the way to the Caribbean Islands including Jamaica and Cayman!
The ship
This was my first time on a ship in this size, a bit anxious but mostly excited I got onto the huge shop in Miami and we began sailing. On the ship we enjoyed many activities, from every type of food that you can think of in an all you can eat buffets, hot tubs, pools, steam rooms, golfing courses and so much more. Beside all of those amazing "treats", just opening your morning in the open sea, seeing the ocean from every look you take is a real experience as it is.
Grand Cayman
In the western Caribbean Sea you will find 3 heavenly islands. Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Cayman Islands and our first land stop of the cruise. After a few days of sailing in the sea this paradise finally caught our eyes and we got off exciting to start exploring this magnificent island. While walking on the street, having no exact idea or plan about what this day might bring an interesting adventure caught our attention. We spent our day in the crystal clear Caribbean waters, snorkeling and swimming with a family of stingrays!
Jamaica
We continued sailing onto our next destination Jamaica! We sailed for a few more days until we saw a giant green island in front of our ship. At first look we saw countless green trees, white sand and clear blue water- another paradise. In Jamaica we had so many different activities; We started our trip from a pastoral beach, like the one you see in the postcards or movies but never dreamed you will actually see in person. There we did an extreme waterfall climbing to the top of the mountain, which had a cable car that took us with the breathtaking view of the island all around us to the next activity.

The cable car ended in this amazing viewpoint which had an infinity that felt like you are about to fall into the view- Am I in heaven? Around us we saw local markets and painters trying to capture the beauty of the place, I won't lie we bought 6 painting before we continued to explore.
We did a part of the way down from the mountain with an amazing alpine coaster that took us all the way between the trees and nature and the rest we did by foot. On the way back we met locals on the street, I even got my hair braided by a nice lady just before we got back to the boat.
As I said before this was my first cruise ever and I just fell in love with the idea. It was so much fun to live in such luxury for a week, the only downside is the extra Kg you're going to bring back with all the exquisite all you can eat buffets. But even if you don't plan on taking a cruise, the beautiful Caribbean islands are a bucket list destination that you can easily spend a full vacation in rather than a few days like we did.
